What’s better than a summer of fun?

NOT A THING!

As I stated in a previous post, I don’t know where to begin to describe my summer.  But here goes…

I spent eleven weeks away from home at a summer camp.  Now I had never been to a summer camp before so, needless to say, I didn’t know what I was getting myself in to.  The first two weeks involved me putting myself through the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.  Raft Guide Training. The mental and physical exhausion set in early, but in the end I managed to “check out” (aka pass my test).

Good day ladies and gents!

As you can already see, there have been some changes taking place here at Fondly Phil.  After an amazing summer, I decided to re-evaluate my goals for this blog and came to the conclusion that a fresh start was needed.  I hope you like what you see so far, and stay tuned for upcoming posts!

Caught in an…

African Thunderstorm!

While surfing the web this morning, I came across an amazing video of an African thunderstorm.  No, it’s not an actual storm, but instead it is an a capella group by the name of Perpetuum Jazzile.  The group, from Slovenia, is performing the 1980’s pop classic, Africa, by Toto.  Through various hand movements, the group is able to recreate a very realistic sounding thunderstorm.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as of today I am officially…

Back In The Burg!

Today, I moved into my first apartment and it is definitely just as exciting as moving into a dorm (minus the hundreds of people crowding around everywhere).  Keep checking back in this week to hear all about my first week back at school, and next week, besides starting classes, I’ll be posting pictures of the apartment.
